Photography has always been my biggest passion, I started at an early age when I got my first camera from my parents. I always went around taking pictures of everything, mostly of my younger sister. My father used to take a lot of photos when I were young and my mother is a painter, so I guess I have creativity and art in my blood. When I started upper secondary school, Mediegymnasiet in Malmö, Sweden, I started taking photography even more seriously and since then I have felt such a freedom and happiness while holding my camera.

My name is Hannah Hviid. I am nineteen years old (d.o.b. 890110) and I live together with my mother and younger sister in Malmö, in the south of Sweden. In school I studied photography and at my graduation, 5th of July 2008, I got a scholarship for my photography skills, 1000 SEK, because of my originality and creativity. I use a Canon EOS 400D at the moment, but am familiar with other cameras as well. I am also familiar with analogue cameras and darkroom. In the future I of course want to buy a better and more professional camera but for now, my baby works fine. I have also 9 years of Photoshop experience.

I take mostly portraits. I use myself as model in most shots., for very many reasons. I do like to work with others but with myself I really do have the power to get what I want, and I can play much more with myself, with makeup, with angels. A fun fact is that I actually am camera shy, I hate when other people are taking my picture!

There are so many things that inspire me. Music, movies, my family, my wonderful boyfriend and people in general. Other photographers inspires me as well. Everyday I get inspired and every time I am holding my camera and I am taking a photo I learn something new, and I guess that is why I have fallen in love with this art form.
